The Arkansas Queer Men’s Social Club was founded in August 2024, and fully incorporated in February 2025. We are a fully recognized 501(c)(3) organization.
There were several reasons we wanted to create space for our corner of the community.
The male loneliness epidemic hits queer men especially hard.
Queer men haven’t historically had much sustained community in Arkansas.
Almost all the community that does exist is in bars and nightclubs, which have long been disappearing in the US.
Substance abuse also hits us especially hard.
In an era when it’s possible to have physical intimacy through a few taps on a screen, how can we foster the genuine emotional connection people are actually looking for? Many of us have never had close queer male friends, so this feels like an experiment.
We’re happy to say the experiment is working as we see bonds form, relationships develop, and a real-life network built, person-by-person.
Our mission is to foster connection, empowerment, and well-being among queer men by creating a welcoming space for community, education, and advocacy while contributing to the broader understanding and support of LGBTQ+ issues.
