Closing 2025 on a High Note

A word from the board

On behalf of the Board and the Events Committee, I’m excited to share an update about the Social Club.

As we celebrate our first year together, the board took some time to step back and reflect about what this community means to us. We revisited the values that brought us here and discussed ways to continue growing in a way that feels intentional and true to who we are.

Open Workshop

With that in mind, we also started looking ahead. One of the most exciting things to come out of those discussions is an open workshop we’ll be hosting in March. We want every member to have a voice in shaping our long-term vision for the next 5 to 10 years. It is a chance for all of us to imagine the future together, and once the date is set, we’ll share more details. We hope you’ll be part of it.

Parent Organization

As we talked about the future, we also realized that we needed a stronger structure to support the kind of growth we are aiming for. That’s why we are proud to share that the Social Club now has a parent organization called Queer Men United. This gives us a solid foundation for things like funding, partnerships, and expanded programming while making sure the Social Club stays exactly what it has always been: the place where we gather, connect, and feel at home. Nothing about the spirit of the group is changing. We are simply building a better framework behind the scenes so we can do more for our community.

There is so much ahead for us: more events, more laughter, more opportunities to connect, and plenty of new faces we have not met yet. We are grateful for every one of you, and we are excited to keep building this community together.
